Scope of Services
VetsFast Pet Imaging (‘VFPI’) is a trade name of Vets Fast, LLC. References in these Terms & Conditions to ‘VetsFast Pet Imaging,’ ‘VetsFast,’ or ‘VFPI’ refer to Vets Fast, LLC, the legal entity providing these services.
VetsFast Pet Imaging provides diagnostic imaging services, ancillary procedures (including but not limited to fine needle aspiration, biopsies, and centeses), and access to reference laboratory testing exclusively to veterinary practices at the request of a licensed veterinarian.
We do not provide consultation or communication directly with pet owners. All communication regarding imaging findings, diagnosis, procedural risks, and treatment is the sole responsibility of the attending veterinarian.
Availability & Scheduling
Services are subject to provider schedule and geographic coverage.
Appointments are generally not guaranteed until confirmed in writing and with pre-payment of appropriate service fees.
Serviceability may vary by clinic location and is at the discretion of VetsFast Pet Imaging.
Pricing
All pricing is subject to change without notice.
Any written or verbal price quotes are provided as estimates only, apply solely to the specific date and case discussed, and are not guaranteed.
Promotional pricing or discounts may be offered at our discretion but are not guaranteed.
Risks & Informed Consent
The attending veterinarian overseeing the patient’s care is solely responsible for ensuring that the pet owner is fully informed of any and all risks associated with:
Imaging procedures (e.g., stress, discomfort, incomplete imaging).
Biopsy or fine-needle aspiration procedures (e.g., bleeding, organ injury, infection, non-diagnostic samples).
Risks associated with sedation or anesthesia, if required during procedure (imaging or otherwise) performed by our service personnel.
VetsFast Pet Imaging does not obtain consent from pet owners and bears no responsibility for client communication. This responsibility rests solely with the attending veterinarian or their clinic.
Limitations of Service
Ultrasound, echocardiography, and radiology imaging are diagnostic aids and do not guarantee identification of all disease conditions.
Reports and images are provided exclusively to the referring veterinarian or their clinic. VetsFast Pet Imaging does not release reports or images directly to pet owners.
Clinical decision-making and case management remain the responsibility of the attending veterinarian. See Image & Report Access for additional details.
Records & Confidentiality
Reports and images generated remain part of the medical record owned by the clinic.
VFPI complies with professional standards of confidentiality regarding medical records.
VFPI retains the right to use any imaging, pathology, or related medical data collected during services — including documents shared by the referring clinic — for educational, teaching, research, or quality improvement purposes.
All such data will be anonymized to remove identifying information about clients, patients, and clinics, and will be used only in a manner consistent with veterinary privacy standards.
Image & Report Access
VetsFast Pet Imaging provides clinics with access to ultrasound images and reports through a secure online portal hosted by RocketPACS.
VetsFast Pet Imaging does not manage, control, or provide IT support for the portal.
Any technical issues, outages, or access problems must be addressed directly with RocketPACS support.
VetsFast Pet Imaging bears no responsibility for delays or failures in access related to third-party systems.
Payment Terms
Veterinary clinics, not pet owners, are financially responsible for all fees due to VetsFast Pet Imaging.
Payment for all fees due to VetsFast Pet Imaging is required at the time of service, or as otherwise specified on the invoice. Late or unpaid balances may incur additional fees.
Cancellations & No-Shows
Because VetsFast Pet Imaging is a mobile service and exact appointment times may vary, cancellations are measured relative to 9:00 AM on the calendar day of the scheduled appointment:
More than 72 hours before 9:00 AM on the appointment day: Full refund
Between 48–72 hours before 9:00 AM on the appointment day: 50% refund
Less than 24 hours before 9:00 AM on the appointment day, or no-show: No refund
If VetsFast Pet Imaging arrives at a clinic and the appointment cannot be completed due to patient unavailability, inadequate preparation, lack of consent, or clinic cancellation, the clinic will be billed the full fee for the scheduled service.
We understand that emergencies happen. In the event of unexpected situations such as the patient’s passing or sudden medical decline, we are happy to review the situation and may offer a full or partial refund or credit toward a future case, at our discretion.
Facility Requirements
Clinics must provide a safe, suitable work environment, including adequate space, lighting, and access to electrical outlets.
Clinics are responsible for patient restraint, sedation, monitoring, and aftercare.
Liability & Indemnification
VetsFast Pet Imaging is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of its services.
VetsFast Pet Imaging provides diagnostic support only and is not responsible for treatment decisions, communication with pet owners, or any outcomes related to patient care. The attending veterinarian and clinic are solely responsible for how the information from our services is used.
Clinics agree to indemnify and hold harmless VetsFast Pet Imaging from any claims, damages, or legal actions brought by pet owners or third parties.
